2 monitor mobile video installation, on-site performance, 80 Spadina Ave parking lot
This was a site specific installation and performance piece that was part of a group show with a collective called Tasty. The show was in a parking lot near King and Spadina where we each rented a parking space.
The invitation looked like parking ticket.
Scratching the Surface was a two channel video with audio installation which played from the back of my 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback, and a concurrent live performance. The two channel work was viewed from the back of the open hatchback. The footage on one monitor was a continuous shot of driving to the airport and the other monitor was a continuous shot of driving from the airport to the parking lot. Beside the Honda Civic, the live performance consisted of me trying to scratch a hole in the tarmac with my bare hands.
