Long Motel Night

 

Working in the Northwest Territories and travelling regularly back and forth between Toronto and the Dehcho, Long Motel Night uses stop motion and in-camera editing with text generated after the fact to create a kind of tension between a very in the moment experience and retroactive interrogation. This work examines the in-between space—a dark night of the soul where one sees the limits of language.
